Before we go any further let’s establish the truth about hypnotherapy – you won’t be asleep and you won’t do anything that you can’t remember! Hypnotherapy is simply helping you to relax into a state where you are open to positive messages that will help you to overcome bad habits and create good ones.
You will remember it all and you’ll find it a positive and relaxing experience. Think of it as massage for the mind! You know how relaxed you feel after a really good full body massage; well a hypnotherapy session should make you feel the same way, with a relaxed and receptive mind.
You’ll be in control at all times and you won’t ever be asked to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Hypnotherapy is just opening your mind to suggestion – and the suggestion is about being in control of those things that are causing you anxiety or stress.
Before any actual hypnotherapy takes place you’ll discuss exactly what your issues are so that the session is focused correctly on the things that will make the biggest positive change for you.
You may be asked to do daily relaxation exercises to reinforce these sessions so they work even better for you.
